Flood kills man in Osogbo

Eyewitness reports say that it took the efforts of some Hausa men to help retrieve the body after a thorough search. One Mr Thomas Onolapo said, “We all warned him to go back but he didn’t listen. After moving for a few minutes, the intensity of the flood forced open the booth of his car and the flood trapped him”

The Osun State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mr Ayodele Phillips, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Elder and also warned residents to avoid the flood prone areas to avoid being trapped.

His body has been deposited at the morgue of Osun State General Hospital, Asubiaro, Osogbo.
