The telco now has 31 million customers. Regional Operations Director, North, Airtel Nigeria, Mr. Wole Abu made the disclosure at the formal opening of the telco’s 16th Abuja Customer Service Outlet. Abu said the Airtel Nigeria was poised to provide excellent services to customers on its network,hence the decision to open outlets across the country to attend to their needs in line with the changing consumer behaviour. Abu disclosed that the company has already opened 16 customer outlets situated in the federal capital territory, 21 outlets in all in the north central area and was poised to expand to over 30 outlets before the end of this year. “You cannot have over 31 million customers on the network all over the country and not have access points to resolve issues and give the best customer experience to Airtel subscribers wherever they are in the country,” he said. Earlier, the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) Director, Consumer Affairs Bureau, Alhaji Abdullahi Maikano who spoke at the commissioning reiterated the determination of the regulator to ensure that operators of Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) doing business in the country provide excellent customer service to Nigerians.
