He said he vied for the seat to prove to anti-democratic forces in Abia that they and their families would not always decide the fate of Abians, politically. Otti made this known while addressing a mammoth of Abians who trooped out to receive him in Umuahia, the state capital on Friday. His words: “I want to tell you that it is clear that the political battle I had in 2015 was to prove to some persons that they and their families will not always decide the fate of Abians politically”. He thanked Abians for their steadfast support for him, maintaining that though APGA won the election which was stolen, but he had moved on from that. The renowned financial expert urged his supporters to move on and put the sad experience behind as there was no gain crying over spilled milk. “APGA won the election in Abia State and the enemies of democracy stole the mandate Abians gave to me. “I urge you to move on and put behind the 2015 injustice metted to the people of the state”, he said. He urged his teeming supporters and APGA faithful at all levels to remain steadfast and committed, and shun distractions from any direction, assuring that his desire and determination to play vital role in repositioning Abia remained alive.
