Ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar says the demolition of Music House belong to musician Yinka Ayefele is “saddening.” Ayefele’s radio station was on Saturday demolished by the Oyo State Government over disobedience to urban planning laws.
Speaking on the issue, Atiku said the demolition would trigger unemployment as freedom of the press is “sacrosanct.”
“The reports of the demolition of a radio station in Oyo fills me with a deep sadness. Press freedom is sacrosanct,” he tweeted.
“It’s equally saddening that at a time when jobs are badly needed, a radio station which was providing jobs is needlessly demolished.”
