UMUAHIA — SENATOR Nkechi Nwaogu, the immediate past senator that represented Abia Central district in the National Assembly, has dumped Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the All Progressives Congress, APC, describing her former party as one of impunity.
Nwaogu noted that PDP had departed from the route of genuine democracy to embrace impunity and imposition as its own model of democracy.
According to Nwaogu, PDP was never democratic but thrived in imposition of candidates on the people. She expressed hope that her new party, APC, would learn from the mistakes of PDP.
Senator Nwaogu said she expected PDP to have shown remorse for the way it handled the last primary elections which she said was characterized by imposition of unpopular candidates on party faithful.
