A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Sunny Onuesoke has expressed hope that the party has the bright chance of returning to power at the federal level in 2019.

He noted that with the way the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was misruling Nigeria, the PDP will recapture power.

Onuesoke, who made the prediction while addressing newsmen in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital on Friday, said “The masses initially thought APC was coming to upgrade their lives with their ‘change’ mantra but unfortunately, APC did not meet their expectations. No matter the circumstances, PDP will take over power at the federal level and regain lost states as well as win more states in 2019.”


“Nigerians are taking stock of Buhari’s missteps in governance. They are not only experiencing pains but are disappointed at the turn of events.

“As a party that was in power before, it is the right time for the PDP to strategise to take over control at the central,” Onuesoke stated.

He further called on all genuine men and women of PDP to make necessary sacrifice and work honestly towards the rebirth of the former ruling party.
