President Muhammadu Buhari has called for the inclusion of two Islamic Studies books written by late Justice Muhammad Bashir Sambo in the secondary school curriculum for all Federal Government Colleges in the country.
Buhari made the call at the weekend during the launching of the reviewed editions of the books, Daily Trust reports.
Represented by Kaduna state governor Nasir el-Rufai, the President urged the Federal Ministry of Education to include the books, which were first published in 1974, in the curricula.
According to him, the books will help in salvaging the declining moral and religious values in Nigeria.
Student Pulse gathered that that the books were reviewed by Mallam Mukhtar Lere to conform to Nigeria's 6-3-3-4 educational system.
Justice Sambo was a former Judge of Sharia Court of Appeal and the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
