It is said that the police officer collapsed and passed away in his office. The deceased is said to have gone to the hospital on the same day with a headache. But even after his return, he was still feeling unwell. He passed away last week on Tuesday. It was reported that the DPO gave his orderly instructions to tell the Divisional Crime Officer, or DCO, to come to his office because the DPO wanted to leave but didn't want to give the DCO the official proceedings. However, the breathless orderly returned to face him on the floor. He was rushed to Badagry General Hospital, where it was later determined that he had passed away. SP Benjamin Hundeyin, a spokesman for the Lagos State Police, announced the DPO's departure in a tweet on Friday, confirming the incident. He said, "We regret to announce the death (while in service) of SP Salami Mojeed, DPO of Seme Division, which occurred on Tuesday, 10 of January 2023, following a brief illness." He was referring to SP Salami Mojeed's passing. Since then, he has been buried in Ede, Osun State, his hometown. May Allah grant him firdaus and aljannah. Amin.”
