The Officers of the Uyo Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) detained 22 alleged internet fraudsters at various locations in Imo State.

The all-male suspects, ages ranging from 20 to 41, were recently arrested by Toronto lane, Egbu, Owerri, Imo state at "Sight and Services" inside "World Bank," in Ugwuma Town and "Border Safety."

The suspects are: Chinonso Anozie Frank, Ogadibo Victor Chikeluba, Clinton Njoku Onyekachi, Okoro Edwin Chigozie, Anozie Chibuzor Harold, Anyaeriuba Canice, Ogbuehi Anderson, Okere Nonye, Njoku Paul Chibuike, Ndalaka Felix Chukwuebuka and Anele Chibuike Timothy.

Others are: Chidi Kalu, Uparai Daniel; Ubochi Christian Ikechukwu; Udoka Obi; Chiagozie Morris Obiano; Moses Akaedite, Henry Princewill Chisom,  Prince Ibe, Ugwuegbu Fredrick Ekenna, William Peter Obinna and Udoka Ihiekwe Kelechi.

Several cars and devices were confiscated from them during their arrest which include: a black Lexus E5 330, a silver Toyota Corolla LE, a silver Toyota Camry, and a blue Toyota Corolla LE.

Others include a silver Lexus E5; a black Toyota Venza, a gray Mercedes ML350 SUV and a silver Toyota Highlander SUV.

Fifteen laptops and 20 sophisticated cell phones were also retrieved from these.

The suspects will be tried in court after proceedings have been completed.
