parading himself as a major in the Nigerian Army. The self-styled army major, who has been terrorizing the residents of Nekede community in Owerri West local council area of Imo State, gave his name as Samuel Ngozi, from Isiala Ngwa local government area of Abia State. Parading the suspect yesterday at the State Police Headquarters, Owerri, the Acting Commissioner of Police, Mr. Dave Akinremi, explained that the fake soldier was arrested by the Command while terrorizing Nekede people. “The suspect was nabbed, following a credible tip off and he would be charged before a competent court for impersonation and felony, after proper investigation”, the Acting CP said. In a similar development, the Command has also apprehended a 22-year old Kelechi Ihemegbulam, an Information Science graduate of Abia State University, Uturu, Abia State, for alleged murder and cult related activities. While saying that Ihemegbulam was a member of the notorious Brotherhood fraternity, the Acting CP also disclosed that until this arrest, the suspect was in the wanted list of the Command. “Kelechi Ihemegbulam is was wanted for his involvement in the murder of several persons within and around the state, as well as cult- related activities. “He has since made useful statement to the police and would soon be charged to court”, Mr. Akin refi said.
