"Federal Polytechnic Kabo Positioned to Become Reference Point for Polytechnic Education in Nigeria - Governing Council Chairperson

The Deputy Senate President of the 10th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Barau Jibrin, has commended the Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic Kabo, Kano State for advancing education and fostering academic excellence in Nigeria.

Senator Barau, who is representing Kano North Senatorial District in the 10th Senate, made this known while receiving the Council members led by its Chairperson, Chief (Mrs.) Titilayo Laoye-Tomori, in his office on Monday in Abuja.

Other members of the Governing Council present during the visitation included Architect Timnan Gambo, Dr Sadisu Buhari, and Alhaji Abdullahi Baba.

While acknowledging the governing council's effort, Senator Barau promised to focus on the continued development and success of the institution. He expressed satisfaction over the accreditation of an additional 13 courses by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for the citadel of learning.


According to him; "Today, I received members of the Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic Kabo, Kano State, led by the Chairperson, Chief (Mrs.) Titilayo Laoye-Tomori, on a courtesy visit to my office in the National Assembly.

"Other members of the Council who were in my office included Architect Timnan Gambo, Dr Sadisu Buhari, and Alhaji Abdullahi Baba.

"Our discussions were both productive and insightful, focusing on the continued development and success of the institution.

"I was happy as the Board informed me that the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has accredited an additional 13 courses for the citadel of learning.

"I commend the Council's dedication to advancing education and fostering academic excellence while urging the board and management to sustain the tempo to make the institution world-class."

He promised to continue supporting such endeavors that contribute to the growth and prosperity of our nation, adding that education is the cornerstone for meaningful development.

"It is our collective responsibility to support such endeavors that contribute to the growth and prosperity of our nation. Education is the cornerstone for meaningful development," the  Deputy Senate President added.

Eearlier in her remark, the Chairperson of the Governing Council who was the Former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Chief (Mrs) Titilayo Laoye-Tomori, commended Senator Barau Jibrin's contribution to the institution's establishment and growth within the few years of its existence.

Titilayo Laoye-Tomori also revealed the Council's vision to position the Federal Polytechnic, Kabo, as a reference point for polytechnic education in Nigeria.

She commended the Senator representing Kano North district in the 10th National Assembly for his instrumental role in the institution's establishment and growth. Noting that the Council's vision is to position the Federal Polytechnic, Kabo, as a reference point for quality polytechnic education in Nigeria.

According to her; "I led the Federal Polytechnic, Kabo Governing Council members on a courtesy visit to the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja. As the Senator representing Kano North district in the 10th National Assembly, he has been instrumental in our institution's establishment and growth.

"We discussed the Council's vision to make the  Federal Polytechnic, Kabo, a reference point for polytechnic education in Nigeria. Senator Barau Jibrin pledged his continued support, and we appreciate his commitment to our shared goals.

"The meeting was productive and encouraging, and we are grateful for the Deputy Senate President's dedication to our vision and aspirations," the Council Chairperson said.
