The Kaduna State Police Command has revealed that four of its agents had kicked the bucket amid a weapon fight with scoundrels in the state.
The Public Relations Officer of the order, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sabo Yakubu, uncovered this to the News Agency of Nigeria in Kaduna on Sunday.
He said: “At 06: 30hrs on August 11, a team of detectives attached to IGP intelligent Response Team while on operation along Jankasa village of Rigasa in Igabi Local Government Area in Kaduna State was ambushed by bandits.
“After a Fierce gun battle, 4 of our policemen paid the Supreme Sacrifice.”
The PRO further uncovered that no capture had so far been made yet guaranteed that every one of the guilty parties would be captured and arraigned.
He said a group of fortification had been prepared to the zone keeping in mind the end goal to convey the culprits to book.
“We appeal to the general public to assist the police with useful information toward ensuring that the perpetrators of this dastardly act are arrested and prosecuted,” the police spokesman said.
