Tragedy struck in Lagos State on Wednesday when fire gutted a branch of Access Bank on Ademola Adetokunbo Street in Victoria Island, Lagos. The cause of the fire incident is yet to be ascertained.

The Federal Fire Service confirmed the incident.

“Our men are on the ground, trying to combat the inferno. Thanks for notifying us,” it tweeted via @Fedfireng.

The raging fire was captured on phone cameras by pedestrians from the road and people in surrounding buildings in Adetokunbo Ademola, Victoria Island where the building is located.

Fire fighters are reported to have responded to the scene already.
