According to OsunReporters News, the Osun State Government has ordered the shutdown of both public and private schools ahead of the planned statewide protest.

In a communiqué issued by the Permanent Secretary of Education, Mr Kehinde Jimoh, on Monday evening, parents are advised to take complete custody of their children before the protest begins, while private and public schools should follow the decision for a mandatory third-term vacation.

According to the announcement, "This is to inform the general public, particularly parents, guardians, and principals of both public and private schools in the state, that due to the planned nationwide protests, all schools are directed to proceed on the third term vacation beginning Wednesday, July 31, 2024."

"Parents and Guardians are advised to ensure the safety of their wards during the vacation."
