Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state has revealed he became an Arsenal supporter because of former Super Eagles captain Nwankwo Kanu.

The governor made this known on Wednesday on his Twitter page, where he also shared a photo of himself with the former Arsenal, Inter Milan and Ajax forward. He wrote, ”Football is a love language spoken worldwide. A true Gooner meets a legendary @Arsenal player.

”I became an Arsenal fan because of you and I have remained a Gooner ever since.”

Kanu replied by thanking the governor for their meeting.

”Thanks, I appreciate and nice to meet you. God bless you.”
