Government officials in the Senate on Thursday made plans to research the
killing of a female youth corps part Miss Angela Linda Igwetu in Abuja. Igwetu, who was charged to go out of the obligatory one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, was supposedly shot dead by a trigger-glad policeman on Wednesday morning.
To this end, the Senate boards on adolescents, wellbeing and police have been requested to test the killing and report in two weeks.
Representative ita Aidoko speaking to Kogi-East raised the movement, which prompted Senate's determination on the issue.
"Mr President, I went under Order 42 and 52 of the guidelines of the Senate in light of the grievous occurrence that happened where an adolescent corps part was slaughtered by a trigger-upbeat policeman," Aidoko introduced.
"Mr President, from the beginning, with the consent of the mandatory treatment of gunfire casualties charge in December 2017. Casualties of discharge and auto collisions would now be able to get quick treatment in the healing centers without police report.
"Mr. President, this was a bill that was passed and the President consented to it. However, regardless of this, Mr. President, two evenings prior, Miss Linda Angela Igwetu, serving in Abuja was purportedly shot by a trigger-glad cop.
"The perished was to go out from the National youth Service Corps, NYSC, program today July 5, following an obligatory multi year benefit in Abuja.
"Her place of essential task was at one organization at Mabuchi, an edges of Abuja city. She completed work late 11pm Tuesday, and joined a couple of companions for a home base in fervor of her normal go out planned today.
"She cleared out for home around 2am Wednesday and was shot close Ceddi square around Area 10 by a cop who was very much recognized. The projectile shot Angela on her side inside a vehicle and, she started overflowing out blood.
