Man And His Pregnant Wife Perish In Auto Crash On Their Way To Hospital For Delivery.

A man and his wife, Mr and Mrs Mohammed Alhassan Shettima Sheshi, reportedly died in a tragic car accident on the Agaie-Katcha road in Niger State.

According to Daily Trust, Mr Sheshi was rushing his wife, Fatima, who was in labour, to the Agaie General Hospital when the incident happened last week.

It was gathered that three other occupants of the car, the driver and a younger brother of the wife were hospitalized.

A friend of the family who confirmed the sad incident to the publication on Tuesday, September 3, said residents of Katcha often travelled to Agaie during emergencies due to lack of doctors at the Katcha General Hospital.

He said that the car in which the victims were travelling rammed into a stationary vehicle less than a kilometre to Agaie and that the couple died on the spot.
