Three years Jailed, a vile man who slept with the dead body of a woman who died of coronavirus was imprisoned.

To commit the heinous act, the man broke into a mortuary.

The man who then had to spend time in isolation was detained by police in Guyana, South America, when he came into contact with the virus.

He sentenced Leroy Chacon to three years imprisonment.

The 50-year-old man was charged with committing a s3xual crime on the body of a woman at the mortuary and found guilty.

Before Magistrate Dylon Bess, Chacon, an unemployed resident of Trainline Port Kaituma, North West District, appeared via zoom to answer the charge.

He pleaded guilty to the charge which alleged that he was performing an indecent act on the dead body of a woman who died of coronavirus at Port Kaituma Hospital Mortuary on 26 September.
