On Sunday night, Boko Haram militants attacked Kulbachuwa village in Madagali LGA of Adamawa State. 8 people were killed and many injured. The revelation was made on yesterday by Emmanuel Tsamdu, the Member representing Madagali in the Adamawa State House of Assembly who spoke with newsmen.
Tsamdu revealed that he along with the immediate past speaker of Adamawa Assembly, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and other prominent indigenes had to mobilize over 200 local hunters to chase the insurgents away from the community.
He noted that the latest attack which claimed five lives has been preceded by other deadly attacks on the local government. He disclosed that many insurgents were currently hiding in the surrounding mountains across the local government and according to him,they unleash attacks on the people who are mostly farmers from these hideouts. He also maintained that many such attacks had occurred in Midigu, Lanssa, Immirsa, Kubula, Sabon Gari and Wagachakawa, within the last five days with scores feared killed by the insurgents.
Tsamdu added that the community has briefed military authorities in the state calling on them to hastily secure the areas to avert further loss of innocent lives.
