President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday disclosed that the National Assembly is duly aware that he is taking a 10-day off for a rest, during which he is expected to see specialists over what his handlers described as “persistent ear infection.”
He disclosed this during a brief interaction with journalists before leaving the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja for London.
When asked to react to the tension being created by reports that he is sick, the President asked the reporters if there was anybody that does not fall sick.
On what he has to tell Nigerians at this time, Buhari simply said, “I have already told Nigerians that I am going for 10 days to get my ear checked.”
When the reporters sought to know if he had communicated his decision to go on vacation to the National Assembly as required by law, the President declared; “The National Assembly knows; they have been formally informed.”
