The Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris has removed the Plateau State Commissioner of Police Undie Adie.
According to The Cable, this was revealed in a statement released on Tuesday by the Plateau State Police Command.
The sack is following the killings in the state that reportedly left over 100 people dead across 3 local governments.
The statement, released by the state police command’s spokesperson, Terna Tyopev, said the new commissioner Bala Ciroma is to take over from Adie immediately.
The handing over has already taken place, Tyopev said, with Ciroma already assuming duty.
