Minister of State for Petroleum Hadi Sirika had announced the decision but did not give reasons for the move by the President Muhammadu Buhari administration. This came two months after the name ad the logo of the national carrier was launched and expected to take off by December. But many Nigerians who took to social media site Twitter berated the Buhari government for ”wasting taxpayers money” on the project. Some of them accused the Buhari administration of failing Nigeria and lashing out at those who expressed optimism about the project when it was launched.
