The State coordinator, Anthony Nzoka made the remark while receiving a donation of no fewer than five hundred thousand mattresses from the State government. He said, “I want to say that since the EndSARS protest in 2020, this camp has been in pain. When I came here in 2022, I met a camp that was totally devastated. “Each time corps members are collecting mattresses, I will be feeling pains because they are not sufficient and the few available ones have been torn into pieces. “Each time I am briefing them, I will always tell them that our mattresses are not good but bear with us.” Meanwhile, Governor Agbu Kefas, who presented the items through his Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Joseph Joshua, said the gesture became necessary following the protests which led to the looting of the camp. He said the mattresses would be a great source of relief to both the corps members and the camp officials.
