Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at Ward 15 in Oyan town, Odo North Local Council development area, have staged a peaceful protest as their names were removed from the party’s membership register.

Thousands of the affected party members, who had converged at the voting centre, presented their party identification cards.

DAILY POST gathered that all the affected party members also belonged to The Osun Progressives (TOP) and they are supporting Alhaji Moshood Adeoti for the APC gubernatorial primary election.

Speaking on behalf of the affected members at the coalition centre, the Welfare Officer of the party, Adesola Adegbite, who presented her party identification card, complained that her name and that of another member standing behind her had been removed from the party membership register.

She added that names of all members which belonged to The Osun Progressives (TOP) group within the party had been removed.

It was also learnt that TOP members in Ward 07 Odo-Otin were also removed from the membership register.
