Fatai Abass, a notorious cultist who had been on the Osun State Police Command's watchlist for more than a year, has been apprehended.
The Anti-Cultism Squad of the Command apprehended Abass, 23, also known as "Gbefawo," on Saturday evening in the Oke Baale Area of Osogbo, the state capital.
Abass was said to have been pursued for months without success before he was finally apprehended following a tip.

He confessed to multiple killings in Osogbo, and upon his arrest, a locally made pistol and one live cartridge were recovered from him.
Yemisi Opalola, the Osun Police Command's spokesperson, confirmed the arrest and stated that other criminals will be sought in the ongoing investigation.
In addition, Opalola stated that the Command would not permit criminals to operate in Osun.
