Prior to that, they were examined at the Air Force medical facility and were found to be stable and normal blood pressure was observed. Army spokesman, Col. Sani Usman, said Amina was later released to the Operation LAFIYA DOLE headquarters for further investigation and handing over. According to him, after preliminary investigation, Amina and her baby were handed over to the Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, at the Government house, Maiduguri by the Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division, Brigadier General Victor Ezugwu in a brief ceremony. DAILY POST had reported that Shettima and other government officials, after news of the girl’s freedom filtered in, quickly prepared to received the teenager. Usman further disclosed that Amina will be taken to Abuja tomorrow along with her parents to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari. “Meanwhile, the supposed husband is undergoing further investigation at Joint Intelligence Centre. “It should be noted that Mohammed Hayatu is well treated in line with Operation LAFIYA DOLE Rules of Engagement regarding insurgents who voluntarily surrender to the military,” Col.
