A four-storey building under construction has collapsed around Sulu Gambari road, Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.

According to The Punch, three people are said to be injured.

No fewer than 100 people escaped death on Friday following the collapse of a part of a four-storey. PUNCH gathered that while some workers were working on the building,  some people were holding fellowship in a container near the construction site.

A part of the building, which was under construction, caved in while some of the debris afell on the containers near the construction site.




It was further learnt that those who were holding fellowship managed to run out of the container, while the workers in the building either escaped or were rescued.



The Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, Ajayi Okansomi; and the state PRO, Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, Henry Belisinma, confirmed the collapse of the building.

They also said there was no life lost.
