According to NAN, during a retirement party organized for Attahiru Isah, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in charge of administration, Enwonwu issued an alert in Ibadan on Monday. Recall that Adamu declared on Sunday that FSARS and other tactical teams were barred from conducting regular stop-and - search duties, patrols and electronic device tests, among others. However, Enwonwu, who claimed that the Directive was not the first to be issued by the IGP, revealed that the most recent Directive would be the last one on the subject. The CP also claimed that his command would operate and put an end to grey areas. He said: “We’ll make sure we work on the grey areas, particularly routine patrols, which will have to stop. FSARS will be confined to only investigation and response to distress calls when the need arises. “The message has been sent out, not only to SARS but also, to other tactical teams. The issue of checking people’s electronics gadgets like phones, laptops doesn’t arise again, as we’ve warned them against that. “If anyone flouts the IGP’s directive by crossing the red line, a severe disciplinary sanction will be meted out on such an individual.”
