Today's early hours, Hon. Akere Sunday took his facebook page and shared how he was highly impressed with the decorations for Christmas lighting at iwo road in ibadan, oyo state. According to what he compose;

"Was impressed with the Christmas decorations/lighting adorning the Iwo Road Roundabout in Ibadan last night. Added to this was the confirmation of the claim of GSM that the decorations came Pro Bono (at no cost) to the government.

Lending credence to the claim is the huge logo of one of the first generation banks in the midst of it. This brought to my mind the question of why are corporate bodies doing business with us in Osun not doing this as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Or is theirs only that of a clique only willing to milk our lean cow dry without giving back to the people?

A new generation bank tarred an entire street and lavishly decorate it in Lagos to add to the yearly festive mood in Lagos.

Henceforth, government should make it a point of duty before doing business by asking what they want to give back to the community. How will it be if any of these organisations decide to light up Olaiya Roundabout the centre of the capital city to compliment what the government is doing?

We must wise up and insist our relationship should be symbiotic. (Don't mind the quality of my pictures, it was taken from my moving car)".
