Three foreigners were allegedly kidnapped by the gunmen. Multiple online reports have it that a group of kidnappers intercepted a police convoy carrying some foreigners at Tank Junction, Rumuokwurusi area of Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

According to reports, a policeman was killed after heavy gun shootout.

The incident caused panic in the area as a father and his child who owns a shop in the area were hit and killed by a stray bullet.

This happened yesterday 1st November , 2017 around 8:45 PM Nigerian time at tank Junction rumuokwurusi Port Harcourt. A group of kidnappers intercepted a Police convoy, escort to some white men.
They exchanged gun fire and in the process a Policeman was killed, three white men were kidnapped, a little child and his father who sell recharge cards and phone accessories were killed right in their shop by stray bullet. This led to casualties as many passers-by were also wounded.
