An unfortunate accident occurred as a  staff of the Oyo State Waste Management Authority was hit by a  taxi this morning in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

According to reports, the woman was carrying out her duty at Ojulowo Bus stop, Veterinary, Mokola Ibadan when the car reversed and crushed her.

An eye witness at the scene of the incident put the blame on the taxi driver who didn’t observe his environment before attempting to reverse his vehicle.

“If you watch carefully, you will see that the woman was carrying out her duty at the side of the road and not in any way close to the main road. so it is the man that did not observe well before reversing his car. They are fond of rushing especially when there is rush. Now he has put himself and the woman in trouble in new year” the witness said.

The victim was said to have been rushed to the nearest hospital.
