The #ENDSARS peaceful protest was today interrupted by armed thugs in Abuja on Saturday, injuring several people in the process.

The thugs were violently dispersed by the protesters, who gathered under the Kubwa Flyover in continuation of their protests against police brutality and injustice.

The protesters blocked the town's main roads, leaving motorists and passengers stranded on the highway. Trouble began when hoodlums unexpectedly emerged with cutlasses and sticks from various directions and descended on the protesters.

When the hoodlums began targeting protesters, armed policemen who had been keeping watch over the protesters looked the other way.

After they had succeeded in dispersing the protestors, the thugs later opened the road to allow free flow of traffic. The attack was still underway at the time of this article.
