Pastor Adefarasin’s Church, ‘House On The Rock’ Church in the Federal Capital Territory was gutted by fire.

It is understood that a building in the church, which was founded by Pastor Paul Adefarasin, was visibly ablaze while fire fighters were struggling to put out the flames.

Although the flames have now been put out, the extent of the damage incurred by the flames is not known.

This is even as the cause of the fire could not be ascertained.
The incident was also confirmed to pressmen by the pastor of the church, Edbert Abebe, and the commandant of the FCT Command of the fire service, Aderemi Olusola.

They also noted that there were no casualties and that investigation would commence immediately to ascertain the cause of the fire.

“There was nobody in the building, we are not actually meeting in this section of the building; we are meeting in some other section. We will have to carry out investigations to find out what exactly caused the fire but we can’t speculate,” Pastor Abebe said.

Speaking to NAN, a member of the Church said that the main building had not been in use for a while now as renovation work was going on.

Also lending voice on the incident, a twitter user Abayomi Shogunle said that there were 7 fire-fighter trucks at the church premises trying to put out the fire.

Shogunle further supported his claim with a video of the burning church on Twitter.
House on the Rock was founded in December 1994 by Pastor Paul A. Adefarasin in Lagos, Nigeria.

The ministry was established to be a vanguard 21st century Church with a vision of empowering believers for the fulfilment of their God-ordained destinies.

Since its’ inception the Church has grown far beyond the borders of Lagos, with over 40 daughter Churches and missions in Nigeria and across the globe.
