The PlayStation 5 console has officially been unveiled. Gamers around the world were on the edge of their seats for the industry-gripping announcement on Thursday night, anticipating a first look at the new console in all its glory.
Limited information about the new console had been leaked up until this point and the official video conference strove to answer a lot of people's questions about what they can expect.
The video started off by announcing games that will feature on the PS5, including: Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Gran Turismo 7, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and Project Athia.
However, one of the most interesting updates early on concerned the specifications of the new console and most notably, the new controller that gamers will be getting their hands on.
Controller design revealed to the public
The console was revealed to facilitate 4k Ultra HD Blu-Ray, posses an Ultra-High Speed SSD and ray tracing.
The controller design was shown to feature haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, motion sensors, a built-in microphone, an integrated speaker, a headset jack and USB port.
3D Audio was also confirmed to be a feature. You can check out the full video down below: Console finally shown to the world
Hopefully it won't be too long until the public can get their hands on one of these.
But after all, what everybody had been waiting for came to the fore: the console itself.
Gamers had been speculating on the design all year long and some of the concepts were exciting to say the very least, but it's hard not to love the sleek model that will actually be hitting the shelves.
