Everyone needs a phone with a very good size of storage space.. As having a high storage come with advantages like; allowing apps to run smoothly and effectively, allows for more videos and pictures, downloading more apps and so many more.

Here you will learn how to increase your phone’s internal storage space, not on the literal sense as increasing it from 16 gigabyte to a size above 16 gigabyte or from 8 or 32 gigabyte to a size above the respective memory sizes.

It is actually increasing the amount or size of memory space left in your phone. For example if you already used 98% of your internal memory and are left with just 2%, you can actually increase the space left from 2% to over 50% thereby decreasing the amount used from 98% down to 50% used..

Which means that you have more gigs left in your phone to download your favourite movies , apps and so much more

Follow these simple steps below;

1. Check for the highest memory consuming app The amount of space used by different apps vary so much… But one app that comes to mind as a high memory consumption app is whatsapp. A lot of people use this app and many are unaware of the memory space consumed by this app..

Note that you will just be deleting the junks and trash of whatsapp without deleting any of your chats, so don’t be scared that any of your chats will go missing as this has been tested and confirmed by various users… It may also surprise you to note that your phone automatically saves any viewed whatsapp status in your internal memory whether you have a status saver or not, and this may be unknowing to you.. Imagine you’re to calculate the size of all the whatsapp status you’ve viewed the part week or month.. Strange right? Follow this steps

Go to your file manager

Scroll down to whatsapp folder

Click on whatsapp media/media

Click on status ( All the whatsapp status you’ve viewed are saved or downloaded here)

Select all and then delete all of them as you don’t need or use them… And not to worry, it doesn’t affect the status saved by whatsapp status saver as that is on a different folder

You’ll be surprised at how much space you’ve freed, you may have freed up to 1gigabyte storage or even more…

2. Clear cached data Cached data builds up and consumes space as you use an app more frequently. The rate at which cached data builds up also varies from each app… Apps with a very high amount of cached data include; chrome, opera mini, google play, games, social media apps like fb, whatsapp, Twitter ,Instagram and the likes, etc

Follow these steps;

Go to settings

Click on storage

Click on internal storage

Scroll down and click on caches data and clear …

If you didn’t see cached data, then click on apps, open each app and clear their respective cached data….

You would have cleared over 500 megabyte of junks up to 1 gigabyte memory…

3. Clean trash Cleaning of phone’s trash and junk files regularly is also another way of increasing your phone’s internal memory.. You can also clean the images of photos you moved to trash…

4. Clear thumbnails Go to files and scroll to thumbnails, select all and delete…

When you follow these steps and do them regularly, you’ll never have trouble on low space anymore..
