The begining - Episode 2 begins with Oh Mi-joo and Ki Seon-gyeom standing awkwardly together. It looks like Oh Mi-joo has the position of translator and Dan-ah lets her know that they will send a schedule.
As Oh Mi-joo walks home, she sees in the paper that Ki Seon-gyeom is potentially dating someone named Choi Tae-ri. Ki Seon-gyeom denies dating her to Dan-ah; Choi Tae-ri is a movie star. Ki Seon-gyeom wants Dan-ah to announce that he’s not dating her. Episode 2 begins with a track and field athlete battling with the media.
Butting headsOn the way to training, Ki Seon-gyeom and Oh Mi-joo bump into each other. They exchange small talk, and Ki Seon-gyeom agrees to return her lighter. They then see a visual advertiser of Ki Seon-gyeom, and he was unaware that the promos of himself exist. The pair keep butting heads, but Oh Mi-joo wants his number so they can go for a meal. Like all k-drama tropes, it’s clear that these two characters are intensely attracted to each other.
Eager and interestedKi Seon-gyeom sends Oh Mi-joo a schedule of options of where to meet him, which is very detailed. She responds with a date and time. As Ki Seon-gyeom reads her response, Kim Woo-sik asks Ki Seon-gyeom if he’s dating. Oh Mi-joo talks to May, and she’s very interested in his personal life, learning that Ki Seon-gyeom’s mother is Director Yoo Ji-woo. Oh Mi-joo is very open about her intentions in episode 2.
Beaten up againKim Woo-sik is getting bullied again by other members of the track and field team. Kim Woo-sik suggests that the lead bully is scared of Ki Seon-gyeom. He’s then beaten repeatedly. From a distance, Ki Seon-gyeom sees Kim Woo-sik beaten on the floor. He takes him to the hospital.
In the hospital, Ki Seon-gyeom asks Kim Woo-sik if he’s okay and the beaten man starts crying. Kim Woo-sik tells Ki Seon-gyeom that he hit Park Gyu-deok by accident and he doesn’t want him to do anything.
Confronting the bullyKi Seon-gyeom approaches Park Gyu-deok and punches him. He tells him he should be in prison. Gyu-deok tells Ki Seon-gyeom that he has spoiled Kim Woo-sik — Ki Seon-gyeom punches him again, and the pair end up fighting. Other athletes can hear the commotion inside the changing room. After the fight, Ki Seon-gyeom tells the coach that he assaulted Gyu-deok and Gi-beom and wants them to summon the disciplinary committee. The coach tells him that if he continues, it will go on his record and he will not be able to be a coach, but Ki Seon-gyeom does not want to back down. These scenes show the character’s principles and how he does not back down — he wants to do what is right.
Making Ki Seon-gyeom the heroDan-ah wants the full story of who Ki Seon-gyeom assaulted. She laughs at his revenge story, but he doesn’t find it funny — he marks the physical abuse that happens in the athletics team and how it is overlooked. Dan-ah talks about how he will lose sponsorships and promotions, but she thinks they can turn this around, so Ki Seon-gyeom looks like a hero. She rings Mr Jeong and arranges a dermatologist so his photoshoot can go ahead. She doesn’t want her business to be hurt.
An eager agentYoo Jae-gyu, the head of Choi Tae-ri’s agency bumps into Ki Seon-gyeom, and he wants to get in touch with his agent Dan-ah. He tries badmouthing her, but Ki Seon-gyeom sticks up for his agent. Ki Seon-gyeom then states he isn’t dating Choi Tae-ri which irritates Yoo Jae-gyu.
A business dinnerWhile out walking, Ki Seon-gyeom runs passed Oh Mi-joo. When he runs back, she admires him. They are meeting on the wrong date but they agree to watch a movie that she has translated. They head to a theatre together. When they sit down, Oh Mi-joo talks about she feels safe in the cinemas sat in the dark. Ki Seon-gyeom states he feels the absolute opposite. As they watch the film, Ki Seon-gyeom watches her.
Afterwards, they go for something to eat, and Oh Mi-joo calls it’s a business dinner. They talk about Ki Seon-gyeom’s mother, and Oh Mi-joo raises how he likes her work. Oh Mi-joo talks about why she became an interpreter for movies; when she was younger, she always appreciated knowing the language gap in movies.
Ki Seon-gyeom talks about running and how the goal is the finish line and not the people behind you. But he said his goal today was her. Oh Mi-joo seems to appreciate his words. They were smooth words to be fair.
More than businessOn the way home, Ki Seon-gyeom is very drunk, and he cannot walk properly. He’s a lightweight. Oh Mi-joo offers to take him home, but he keeps flirting with her. She then walks right up to his face, so they are very close to each other, but then Oh Mi-joo wants to consciously control herself and walks off.
The endingOh Mi-joo then returns. She felt guilty for leaving him drunk and alone and offers to help him home.
As the episode ends, Choi Tae-ri ends up in the same car park as Ki Seon-gyeom. Suddenly, her agent turns up and accuses Choi Tae-ri of lying regarding her romance with Ki Seon-gyeom. Suddenly, Oh Mi-joo turns up, and it eases tensions a little, but then the agent believes Ki Seon-gyeom is cheating on Choi Tae-ri. Ki Seon-gyeom then decides to shoot his shot and kisses Oh Mi-joo. He then turns to the agent and Choi Tae-ri and states that Oh Mi-joo is his girlfriend. Well, that escalated quickly.
Run On episode 2 starts with energy, but then it sags, and it becomes slightly boring. There’s plenty of stories to chew on, which hopefully picks up in the next few episodes.
