Posted by: Miss Ifeoluwa« on: July 06, 2017, 06:32:56 PM »The three suspected killers of a 400 level student of Osun State University, Osogbo, Timileyin Shonibare, were remanded in prison by the Osogbo Magistrates’ Court on Thursday. The suspects: Saka Rafiu, Yusuf Kareem, and Ibrahim Ayuba were arraigned before Magistrate Adijat Oloyade on three-count charge of conspiracy to commit felony, murder, and improper interference with a dead human body. Oloyade ordered the suspects to be remanded in prison custody till September 29, when the case will be brought up for hearing. DAILY POST had earlier reported that the Osun State police command on Tuesday discovered a decomposing body of Soonibare in a bush around Oke-baale area of Osogbo metropolis. Subsequent upon this discovery, Sakariyahu Abdulrafiu(19), and two of his friends, Ayuba Ibrahim, (24), and Yusuff Kareem (18), were apprehended and they all confessed to have killed the deceased with a pestle, for the purpose of using his dismembered body for ritual. The Osun State Commissioner of Police, Mr Olufimihan Adeoye, while parading the suspects said the trio were herbalists, and had conspired with one other person presently at large to commit the crime on June 26, at about 7:30pm, around Oke-baale, Osogbo, the Osun State capital. Against this backdrop, irate students from the university went on rampage on Wednesday, and barricaded the Gbongan-Osogbo expressway, which caused serious gridlock on the busy highway for hours.
