has called on the management of the institution to immediately revert the acceptance fee payable by newly admitted students from 20,000 to 10,000. According to Mr Adeyemi Onikoro, LASUSU Chairman, if this is not done, may lead to a crisis. In his words, “Such a policy was initiated sometime ago at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile- ife, but it caused crisis which led to the closure of the university for six months. “We do not want such to happen in LASU, so that the academic calendar will not be distorted; that is why we are calling on the new governing council and the acting Vice-chancellor to do the needful. “Any attempt to sustain the increment will be vehemently opposed by the students.”
