Applications are invited from qualified candidates for admission into the Pre-degree and diploma programmes of the Educational Consultancy services of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) for 2017/2018 session.

1. PRE-DEGREE PROGRAMME :
Duration : One Academic Session in Science, Agriculture and Education (Science)
Location: Pre-degree Directorate

Admission Requirements:
Credit-level passes at not more than two sittings in ( WASC/NECO/GCE O/L, NABTECH) English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science, Mathematics and one Science/Social Science subject and at least a pass in Physics. Students admitted into Pre-degree programme with a Credit in Agriculture and/or pass in Physics will only be sent to the Faculty of Agriculture at successful completion of the programme. Successful candidates who sit for and obtain a credit in Physics within the programme year and submit their result before the placement exercise could be placed in any of the departments in the Faculty of Agriculture, Biological Science, Physical Science, Education and Engineering

Applicants awaiting results may also apply. Such applications shall only be considered on receipt of the pending results within the period allowed for such consideration.
Applicants must have JAMB results of either 2014/2015 or 2015/2016 or 2016/2017.

PRE-DEGREE IN FRENCH STUDIES
Duration : One full academic session.
Location: Pre-degree Directorate

Admission Requirements:
Five Credit-level passes in WASC/GCE O’ level/NECO, NABTECH at not more than two sittings, including English Language and one Arts or Social Science subject. JAMB results of either 2014/2015 or 2015/2016 or 2016/2017 can be used.
Note: A pre-knowledge of French is not a requirement.

2. DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES
INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC POLICY AND ADMINISTRATION (IPPA)
DIPLOMA IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION (DPA):
Duration : Two Academic Sessions (Full-time).
Location: Institute of Public Policy & Administration (IPPA).

Admission Requirements:
For admission into this programme, candidate must possess a minimum of four (4) credits in GCE O/L, SSCE, NECO, TC II from the following subjects: Government, Economics or Commerce, C.R.K, Literature, Accounting or Mathematics with at least a Pass in English Language in not more than two sittings.

DIPLOMA IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT (DLG)
Duration : Two Academic Sessions (Full-Time)
Location: Institute of Public Policy & Administration (IPPA)

Admission Requirement:
For admission into this programme, candidate must possess a minimum of four (4) credits in GCE O/L, SSCE, NECO, TC 11 from the following subjects: Government, Economics or Commerce, C.R.K, Literature, Accounting or Mathematics with at least a Pass in English Language in not more than two sittings.

DIPLOMA IN PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT (DPM)
Duration : Two Academic Sessions (Full-Time)

Admission Requirements:
For admission into this Programme, candidate must have a minimum of four (4) credits in GCE O/L, SSCE, NECO, TC II with at least a Pass in English Language in not more than two sittings.

DIPLOMA IN TOURISM AND HOTEL MANAGEMENT
Duration : Two Academic Sessions (Full-Time)

Admission Requirements:
For admission into the above programme, candidate must have a minimum of four (4) credits in relevant subjects, including English Language in GCE O/ L, SSCE or NECO in not more than two sittings.
Note that French is an advantage.

Admission Requirements:
At least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects in GCE
O’L/WASC/SSCE/NECO at not more than two sittings. Subjects to include; English, Mathematics and Economics.

DIPLOMA IN LAW

Admission requirement:
The minimum entry requirement for admission into Diploma in Law programme will be: Five (5) credits at maximum of two (2) sittings in GCE O’L/WASC/SSCE/NECO, including English Language and Literature.

Candidates with GCE O/L, WAEC/SSCE/NECO or equivalent with at least four(4) credits in relevant teaching subjects, including English Language and Mathematics in one sitting.

DIPLOMA IN PRE-PRIMARY AND BASIC EDUCATION (DPBE)
Duration : Two Academic Sessions (Full-Time)
Location: Institute of Education

Admission Requirements:
Candidate with GCE O’L/WAEC/SSCE/NECO or equivalent at least four (4) credits in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics in one sitting.
Any other qualification acceptable to the University of Calabar for a Diploma Programme admission.

DIPLOMA IN LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SCIENCE (DLIS)

Interested candidates for Diploma in Theatre and Media Studies programme must possess a minimum of four (4) credits which must include English Language and Mathematics and any other two Arts or Social Science subjects nor more than two (2) sittings. A candidate of GCE O’L/WASC/SSCE or NECO is acceptable.

DIPLOMA IN AFRICAN AND ASIAN STUDIES
Duration : Two academic sessions (full-Time)

Admission Requirements:
Interested candidates should possess a minimum of 4 credits passes in WASSE/NECO/GCE in English Language,
English Literature, Economics, History/Government, Christian Religious Studies and Mathematics
Certificate in Theatre Studies, Journalism and mass Communication or related disciplines from recognized universities, provided the candidate has at least 3 credit passes including English Language, English Literature, History/Government and Mathematics at the Ordinary level.
The Teacher Grade II Certificate with at least a credit at the Merit level including English Language.

INSTITUTE OF OCEANOGRAPHY
DIPLOMA IN MARINE SCIENCE
Duration : Two academic sessions (full-Time)

Admission Requirement:
Applicants must have at least four (4) credits in relevant subjects in GCE O’L/WASC/SSCE at not more than two sittings but which must include English Language and Mathematics.

Request to make payment for University of Calabar C.E.S Application Form 2017/2018 on E-tranzact platform
Pay the sum of 10,000 (Ten thousand naira) only and obtain payment slip containing a unique Pin.
Log in with the generated pin for the C.E.S application.

SECOND METHOD: THE PAPER SCRATCH CARD OPTION
C.E.S application scratch cards are available for those who reside in Calabar or have difficulties obtaining the e-scratch card receipt:
